Amani Ya Juu
Amani ya Juu means “Peace from Above” in Swahili. Amani is a sewing and reconciliation program for marginalized women in Africa. Women from many African nations and cultures are learning to work together through faith in God who provides a peace that transcends cultural and ethnic differences.
Kennonsburg Church has sent women on week long mission trips to Kenya to teach and support the Amani Ya Juu program. We also periodically host pop up shops with handmade items that directly support the work and mission of Amani Ya Juu. You can learn more about the progam and shop online at amaniafrica.org
