Amani Ya Juu
Amani ya Juu means “Peace from Above” in Swahili. Amani is a sewing and reconciliation program for marginalized women in Africa. Women from many African nations and cultures are learning to work together through faith in God who provides a peace that transcends cultural and ethnic differences.
Kennonsburg Church has sent women on week long mission trips to Kenya to teach and support the Amani Ya Juu program. Kennonsburg Church supports Emaly and Louis Pienaar through prayer and monthly financial support. Emaly is a native of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and enjoys visiting KC when she is back in the states to share about her work in Zambia. She and her husband, Louis, are long term missionaries and lead expeditions to share the Gospel.

Kennonsburg Church is proud to support LifeWise Academy through financial contributions to the local school districts that serve our congregation and community, including Barnesville, Caldwell, Guernsey and Shenandoah.
Our congregation is also actively involved in supporting LifeWise programs. Several attendees of KC serve in a variety of roles for LifeWise, including program directors, teachers, volunteers and board members. Through both financial support and hands-on involvement, Kennonsburg Church is grateful for the opportunity to partner with LifeWise Academy in serving local students and families.
LifeWise Academy offers Bible education during school hours that is off school property, privately funded and parent-permitted. Open Arms Pregnancy Center treats each person with kindness and compassion, and provides accurate information about pregnancy, fetal development, lifestyle issues, and related concerns. They serve and value each client regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, marital status, citizenship status or gender identity. The Open Arms Pregnancy Center is a non-profit medical clinic and all of their services are provided at no cost. They specialize in pregnancy confirmation and helping those facing unintended pregnancy explore their options.
